Hortensia (lat. Hydrangea) is a plant that needs plenty of water. This is also the Latin name that begins with the word water, which means water. The native hortenite habitat are East Asia and the dense forest areas of North and South America, and have more than 75 species blooming with beautiful balloons.
In Europe, they were made in the 18th century, and the cultivar which is today the most widespread is large-scale hydrangea or hydrangea macrophylla. This woody shrub grows in height and width up to 200 cm.
The most striking feature of the hydrangea, the reason why it is so popular in gardens, is its large flower heads in white, pink, red, blue or purple.
You are from June to the end of October. The flower heads consist of two types of flowers - the fertile flowers are hidden inside the head and are not beautiful, and are surrounded by large, beautiful flowers with four non-fertile petals.
Change the color by acidifying the soil
The color of the flower of a hydrangea depends on what acidity the soil grows. If the hortensis has blue flower heads it means that the soil is very sour (pH 3 to 4.5) or contains a high proportion of aluminum salts. On neutral to alkaline soil (up to pH 7) will be pink or red. Hortensies with white flowers do not depend on acidity of the soil - they are always white.
To the acidity of the soil and then to the blue color of the flowers, we influence so that we add acidity to the ground. Soils in our soil are usually alkaline (pH≥7) so hortenite is pink unless it is acidic. For example, add plants already prepared to plants that are sour ground (substrate for rhododendrons), regular feed additives containing aluminum sulphate and rainwater sprinkling. Also, mix at least once a year pine needles with the garden soil and apply it around the bush of the hydrangea.
On a horticultural flower bud, it is a beautiful sight when changing blue and purple flourishes - as in a photo. They fall individually, in groups, along the edges of the garden, like hedges, along the ponds, and are a special attraction if they rain like a flower cloud in the lawn.
They are looking for abundant watering and spring ribbing
Hortensia is a flower that can be grown on semi-pristine and humid places in the garden or around the house - where in the middle of summer, for the highest heat, there is always moisture. It will, for example, come under the trees. Soil should be fertile, rich, lazy. In the summer, it needs to be watered out - if it grows in a sunny place twice a day, rain or water.
Hortensite can easily withstand the winter, without special protection, provided that you do not swallow it shortly. The old dull flowers protect the stabilizer by stopping vegetation. If you hurt the hortenzia most recently, it will boost its growth and these branches will be damaged. Hortenitis is hinged in the spring - branches fall half in March or April. If you sharpen it to the ground, it will not bloom for you.
The old branches, in the middle of the bush, shine to the same foundation - so the plant will rejuvenate. You can protect the winter horticulture by the slag or the collapse of leaves around the foot, as well as the rose. It is fed in the spring when vegetation begins. If the hortenite begins to yellow the leaves, it is a sign that it lacks the iron, and you replace it with the appropriate fertilizer.
It differs very easily with cutters - wooden trusses are taken in August.
Hortensies can also be grown in pots on the balcony, but more suitable for these are mini cultivars. The rules of care and nourishment are the same as in garden gardens, except that the pot of winter needs to be moved in so that the roots of the pot in the pot do not freeze.
